Photoshopped models with materiality
Here are some examples of my photoshopped models which I added some materiality to. I was not a huge fan of what I had made and would like to go back and edit them if I have time. I followed a couple of tutorials which Nick gave us to add some textures and backgrounds but they don't look very realistic right now. I hope I can extend my skills in photoshop and get better at practices like this.

Laser cut model
This is an image of my Lasercut model which I made on Fusion360 following the uploaded tutorial. I had some trouble at first with the software, especially getting the planes to align with each other but was able to soon figure out how to do everything. It was hard but also fun learning a new software.
5th Model - best model scaled down
For this model I decided to use my third model which I liked the most and scale it down to a smaller size, and focus on creating cuts into it to create more texture and detail. I used black card paper and a stanly knife to cut small square boxes throughout which I then popped out. I then photographed this model and used photoshop to fix the blurriness of the background, change the brightness and contrast as well as add in some scaled people. Next to it is a small net which I made of my first model
4th Model- Playing with folding technics
For this model, I decided to keep the same structure as my other models- four "walls" and a floor, but used the folding technics given to us through the video tutorials. I made it with the other models on Tuesday the 17th of March and photographed it April 3rd. I played with several of the technics until I found the ones I liked the most and used them to produce this model. I used some spirals done with different amounts of creases for the first three and then created an x-form span which I then crumpled slightly to create my last section. Later, I photographed my model and edited it on photoshop with scaled people as well as changing the white balance and adding some atmosphere by changing the contrast and brightness.
W5-W6- 3rd model
For this model I took the basic elements of my first model - the four walls and floor - and manipulated the space through folding and scale by making the space larger. I made this model with my other two on Tuesday the 17th of March and photographed it April 3rd. I used the same materials of card paper but in a different colour. I aimed to create more maze structure. I then went on to later photograph my model and used photoshop to clean up some areas with the spot healing brush tool, and change the white balance to brighten the photographs. I then added scaled silhouettes of people.
Models from W5- Reposted with photoshop (Wednesday the 4th of April )
These are the first two proper models I made on Tuesday the 17th of March. I took measurements of my bedroom and using a 1:20 scale. I then photographed them on the 3rd of April and used some photoshopping tools nick taught us to brighten the whites and colour balance it.
The first model is of my room exactly, made from watercolour paper as I found it was more sturdy than regular printer paper and not as bulky as cardboard or thick boxboard.
The second model is made of card paper as it gave me structure but was also easy to cut and fold (I also had different colours which I could choose from for aesthetic reasons) I used the same measurements on this model but manipulated the space by changing the placement of the walls. Overall I like the clean effect I have made but want to experiment more with folding and cutting in my next set of models. I also want to play around with placing people into my space on photoshop.
